Project EasyEndo is a script aiming in reducing the time allocated to prepare a list of necessary items before an endovascular or a hybrid procedure.
It consists of a server-based PHP script and a relevant MySQL database structure. The database includes all the endovascular materials that are usually employed during a procedure in the cath lab or hybrid OR by a team of vascular surgeons.
A list of all materials grouped into different categories (wires, catheters, balloons etc) appears and the attending vascular surgeon chooses the items necessary to complete the procedure.
The final list along the patient’s data, the date of the procedure, notes and the e-signature of the attending vascular surgeon appear on the final page that can either be saved as a PDF file or be printed.
In the first few weeks that a vascular team used this logistics tool, it saved more than 30% of the time allocated to create the procedure list.
