Project EVARsuit

Project EVARsuit is a new project developed and tested by MED-Pie.

It consists of a server-based PHP script and a relevant MySQL database structure.

This newly developed script performs tasks related to compare the anatomical characteristics of abdominal aortic aneurysms to the Instructions-For-Use (IFUs) of the majority of the commercially available AAA stent-grafts.

Two modes of operation will be available in the final form of this project; one for multiple AAA cases and one for a single AAA case.

In the first mode, results of comparison of multiple cases to the IFUs of a single stent-graft will be graphically displayed in a table, along a summary of the results.

This mode of EVARsuit was used to analyse the data in a study titled “Suitability study of current endovascular aortic repair devices based on real-life anatomic data” published in Expert Review of Medical Devices (IF 1.784). This publication is available online through the journal website or ResearchGate.

In the second mode, the characteristics of a single AAA case will be compared to all the available IFUs, marking the respective stent-grafts as suitable or unsuitable for this case.

EVARsuit is currently under development in version 0.10b and it is not available to the general public.
